Luxury Hotel Gallery's Permanent Art Collection

The luxury hotel corporation, JW Marriott, unveiled its permanent art collection at its gallery in the new JW Marriott Downtown Houston in November, 2014, with Steven Silverstein's abstract photograph, Spaces Within II (2014). The photographic work on canvas is one of eighteen original works by local, national and international artists.

The historic Samuel F. Carter building, where the permanent art collection is housed, was the first skyscraper built in Houston in 1910. Undergoing an extensive two-year renovation, the property is now the luxury hotel's first adaptive reuse project in Texas.
